EFM meets weekly, September thru June. We study historical context, the impact and the significance to our own theological perspective regarding the New Testament scripture, the church development and the contributions of theological trends and thinkers.
EFM is an chance for members of the church to delve deeply into their knowledge of the Christian faith. Graduates of the four-year program receive a certificate from the school of divinity at Sewanee: the University of the South.
This program is often referred to as “seminary training for laypeople” because of its richness and depth in cultivating knowledge of the Christian tradition and ability to prepare students for purposeful lay ministry.
