the Episcopal Church in Huntington Beach!
Whether you have been a member for a long time, or are just discovering us for the first time—know that you are welcome here! St. Wilfrid's is an inclusive parish. We believe that all who walk through our doors or onto our campus are beloved children of God. Whether you are seeking a spiritual home or simply yearning for a place to find peace amidst the challenges of life, St. Wilfrid's has varied weekly and monthly worship offerings that promise a safe space for contemplation and praise.
The Episcopal Church is known for its beautiful and engaging worship, its open-minded and thoughtful theology based on scripture, reason, and tradition, its contemplative spiritual disciplines, its focus on social justice and for welcoming all people. This community began with a few dedicated women in 1947 who had a dream of establishing a church building in Huntington Beach. That dream became a reality with the first permanent building in the early 1960s, and St. Wilfrid's has been growing and dreaming ever since. We are a congregation that is dedicated to the call to be "Ambassadors for Christ" not only with each other but also out in the community. I invite you to return again and again to worship, attend our educational forums, check out our Sunday School and Youth Group activities, as well as visiting our top-rated pre-school and Kindergarten. Today we continue that dream of building a church not our of mortar but of people who are dedicated to being disciples by proclaiming Jesus, in word and deed, to a world that desperately needs some Good News.
